| Mike Knetter, Dean, University of Wisconsin Business School KEYNOTE Forging a Stronger Wisconsin Economy: The Evolving Role of Higher Education Michael M. Knetter joined the Wisconsin School of Business as its dean in July 2002. As Dean, he has orchestrated the novel $85 million Wisconsin Naming Gift, the expansion of Grainger Hall, the restructuring and improved national standing of the full-time MBA, and the restructuring and expansion of the Enterprise MBA. Prior to joining the school, he was associate dean of the MBA program and professor of international economics in the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. |

| Mary Starmann-Harrison, President/CEO of SSM Health Care of Wisconsin Plenary Speaker, Facing Change: Health Care Reform Mary Starmann-Harrison is the President/CEO of SSM Health Care of Wisconsin and has worked in the health care field for the past 24 years. She graduated from Arizona State University with a Masters Degree in Health Service Administration, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Mary is the Wisconsin Hospital Association Board Chair for 2006 and a member of the Wisconsin Hospital Association Board of Directors since 2000. She also has served on the American Hospital Association Regional Policy Board, chaired the Wisconsin Hospital Association Public Policy Committee, and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. |

| State Representative, Donna Seidel (D-Wausau) Plenary Speaker, Wisconsin and the Emerging Economy A Neenah native, Seidel is the top ranking Democrat woman in the Wisconsin legislature. She is a former Marathon County Clerk of Courts, police officer and investigator for the district attorney’s office. Active in her community she has served on many boards including the United Way of Marathon Co.; The Women’s’ Community Board; and the YMCA Board. She has received many awards for her service to others including WI Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired Legislator of the Year 2007; WCCO Outstanding Legislator Award 2008, 2006; Legislator Rookie of the Year 2005; and Family Planning Health Services Public Service Support of Reproductive Rights Award 2006. |

| State Representative, Pat Strachota (R-West Bend) Plenary Speaker, Wisconsin and the Emerging Economy A native of Ohio, Strachota is a leading Republican legislator in the Wisconsin Assembly. First elected in 2004 after many years on the Washington County board , she is active in many community groups including the West Bend Rotary; Kettle Moraine YMCA; West Bend Chamber of Commerce; Washington County Agriculture and Industry Society; and the Washington County Historical Society. She is a former member of the West Bend Economic Development Corporation, the Washington County Board and the Southeast Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission. |

| Laurel Rice, Chair, UW Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology Tipping Points for Women's Health: Avoiding Missed Opportunities Prior to her appointment at Wisconsin, Dr. Rice was vice chair at the University of Virginia Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and head of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology and on the faculty of Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Rice is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and gynecologic oncology. She received the 2006 Sharon L Hostler Women in Medicine Award from the U. of Virginia, and she won a National Faculty Award from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in 2003. She has also been recognized for her research into the causes and treatment of endometrial cancer. |

| John Siebert, M.D., Professor, UW School of Medicine and Private Practice in Madison & New York City The Bionic Woman in the 21st Century Dr. Siebert is an internationally recognized plastic surgeon who graduated from the UW School of Medicine and completed general surgery residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, and plastic surgery residency and microsurgery fellowships at New York University School of Medicine. He was Professor of Surgery and Director of Microsurgery at NYU for nearly 20 years. He now is Professor of Surgery at UW School of Medicine and Hospitals and in private practice in both Madison and New York City. Dr. Siebert's reputation is world wide in plastic surgery both for esthetic surgery and reconstructive surgery of the face and body utilizing microsurgery. |

| Kim Sveum, Manager External Communications, Dean Health Parenting and Grandparenting Today (Panelist) Kim recently joined the Dean Health communications team. Kim moved to Madison in 2000 as a reporter for WKOW-TV. In 2003 she joined FOX 47 where for several years she anchored the 9 o'clock news. At WKOW-TV she reported on The Parenting Project. Kim graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Speech Communications. At the U of M, she was part of the women's gymnastics team and a member of the 1998 Big Ten Championship team. These days she spends a lot of her time with her 2 sons, Jordan and Hunter, her husband Eric and their yellow lab Bailey. |
